BELIEFS vs KNOWING

BELIEFS BURY DOUBT

KNOWING REVEALS WISDOM

We all have a set of beliefs that we have adopted through our lives some from established religions, others from

teachers or books , others still from our family and society in general. The thing about believing however is that it is not an absolute truth , it is a choosing to adopt something as correct but that it is very different from knowing something through our own life experience.

When we believe something to be true without experiencing it to be so , we have an inherent doubt  hidden in  that which is covered up by our belief. This is revealed when our beliefs are challenged by another. Often in this situation we can become dogmatic and defensive , seeking to impose our beliefs on others for we fear the impact on our lives if we discover them to not be true.

However when we are open to learning what the experiences of our life has to teach us without the restriction of a dogma, we open ourselves to radical realizations. We discover our own wisdom through life's journeys and have a deep Knowing that does not require defense. Then our lives become an opportunity to live this wisdom out, becoming  a living example that can create aspiration in  others to search for their own meaning  all of us adding to the collective wisdom of humanity .

What beliefs are you willing to question to discover the truth?
